Marian studied the field of probability and statistics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University and the field of teaching mathematics and biology at the Faculty of Science of the Charles University. He deals with the processing of biostatistical data and medical statistics training. As an advisor to the Minister of Health in the field of statistics, in the years 2019-2021 he had the task of starting national projects for measuring the quality of health care in the Czech Republic and a project for the national assessment of patient satisfaction in the Czech Republic, which he is still working on today within the framework of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. He is a member of the working group for measuring and comparing the quality of health services at the Ministry of Health, and cooperates with the Health Insurance Office on the creation of health care quality indicators in the Czech Republic. At FBMI, Marian participates in the teaching of statistics and collaborates on projects in the field of improving the healthcare system of the Czech Republic based on healthcare data.
