Ing. Martina Homolková
Martina is a doctoral student in the biomedical engineering program at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering (FBMI) at the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT). She joined the CzechHTA team in 2022 after completing her master’s degree in System Integration of Healthcare Processes. In her dissertation research, she focuses on linking early-stage HTA with the process of designing, developing, and bringing medical devices to market, with a special emphasis on implantable orthopedic devices. The goal of her work is to create a methodological framework that integrates HTA assessments into the early stages of device development, taking into account clinical efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness. At the faculty, she teaches courses on biostatistics, legislation, and the quality of medical devices.
